Hi everyone, a lot of you have probably seen my newborn images around Facebook but don’t actually know much about who i am or how it works so i thought i would share my first blog post introducing myself and my work.
I first got involved with professional photography about 6 years ago with the last 2 years specialising in newborn baby photography and have never looked back. I simply adore newborns. In order to gain the skills involved in this type of photography i received training which covered posing and the safe practise which is required when working with newborns. This training i have recently updated with the fabulous Kelly Brown of little pieces Photography who is one of the leading names in newborn photography based in Australia. I have also recently been accepted onto the british association of newborn photographers after my safe practise and quality were recognised by this organisation.
I work from my home studio in woolston, warrington and all sessions start at 10.00am and last from between 2-4 hours, leaving plenty of time for feeding and lots and lots of newborn cuddles
I aim to create beautiful and dreamy images that you can cherish for always and look back on with pride. Each tiny person has their own personality, even at this young age, my aim is to bring out this personality through the images.
The best time to photograph is in the first 2 weeks after birth but aim for between 4-10 days old as this is when they are at their sleepiest and curliest and before colic and baby acne appear. I always recommend that you book in whilst you are still pregnant as i only have limited spaces available each month. You are booked in on your due date and when baby arrives a session is arranged in the following 10 days after birth. Sometimes i will have spaces available due to pre-booked babies late arrivals or even early as the case may be so please get in touch if baby has already arrived, but to avoid disappointment it is best to book in whilst still pregnant.
Further information & pricing can be found on my website. I pride myself on being open and honest. Take a look and hopefully i will see you very soon
